here's the 5/18 seva setlist in close to the right order...
i smoked about three joints during his set, but i think i still remember.

that was chris's set and i left right after it (as i was in a tired, shitty mood due to my cat dying that morning) so i'm not sure if he came back for guest/encore stuff...
sunday sound started off not so great, and i usually love that song. things picked up after that though. the crowd really got into it during speedway boogie. (this was an epic hippie moment with everybody singing along to every word). after that chris acknowledged that he had no drummer and that the crowd seemed to want to dance and stuff. someday past the sunset was a highlight for me. it seemed that jonathan wilson shined more as the set progressed. i would love to see him join tbc. (much more fitting than paul or audley, although not marc). by the time they got to the last tune i was really impressed with his tasty licks/tone on the tele (very jim campilongo). and the harmonies on the byrds tune sounded as good as if they were sung by the everly brothers.
as far as saddle my pony goes, i really dug it. the lyrics to the first verse or two are shit, but whatcha gonna do? nice vibe on the tune otherwise.
and i didn't see the usual amorican suspects at this show. no vic, matt, etc...
what was up with that?
anyways, enjoyed this show, and marc's show last week in sf more than any of the fall 06' tbc shows i saw. it seems to be important that these guys get to play in settings that are comfortable for them, and that they don't remain stagnant. my hat is off to marc, chris, and rich for continuing to make music, even if its not together.
hope those of you who see today's show have fun.
i'm dragging my pregnant wife down to big sur for the show on sunday and i hope to see some of you there.
